5. Healed some Injured People
As I rode the carriage headed towards Lynchgiham in the neighboring kingdom…
“Hmm…?”
Suddenly, the coachman shouted.
“What happened?”
“No… it seems that a carriage has stopped in the middle of the road?”
“Maybe they’re just taking a break?”
“…Doesn’t look like it.”
I peered outside the window… certainly, as the coachman said, there was a carriage in front of us.
Although it was merely my intuition, I felt like it was a serious thing.
You’ve come.
At such times, my intuition was usually correct.
Who could it be?
“Let’s talk to them.”
“If it’s alright with Miss… we might get ourselves into some kind of problem, instead…”
“I am alright with it. It’s not like I am in a rush. Let’s resume our journey to Lynchgiham afterwards.”
“I see, if you say so.”
After I convinced the coachman, we went to the carriage which had apparently halted its course.
…Around the carriage, injured people could be seen.
“What a tragedy…!”
I quickly get off my own carriage and called to one of them.
“What happened to you!?”
“Ugh… are you, a traveler?”
A sturdy-looking bearded man stared at me.
“A demon attacked… we managed to escape, but as you can see…”
“A demon…”
The kingdom I used to live in, Vercaim, was peaceful. Therefore, I had almost forgotten that there were monsters outside the city.
There existed not a single demon in my kingdom, because I had been putting up barriers until now.
“I am sorry, but do you have any potions? Name the price, I can pay…”
Before the man could say anything else, I stopped him by raising my hand.
“There’s no need for a potion. …Not like I have any on me, anyway.”
“…No, need?”
“Excuse my right hand for a moment.”
I put my hand on his wound.
His wound was bleeding—it looked grievous.
“Heal.”
After my chant, a gentle light appeared, centering around the wound.
It enveloped the wound, and by the time the light vanished, the wound had completely healed.
“W, wha! That’s, healing magic!?”
He looked very surprised.
“Miss, you’re a healer?!”
“Hmm… something like that?”
In my kingdom, I was called a saint.
…but of course, I didn’t say that. I want to avoid unnecessary confusion.
I also didn’t think I should waste time in that kind of situation.
“I will explain later. There are many who’re still injured. I shall heal them immediately.”
“I, I understand!”
The injured people lined up in front of me.
“Le, let’s start the treatment from those who’re seriously injured…”
“There’s no need for that.”
Once again, I raised my hand.
“I’ll heal them all in one go—Wide Heal.”
A healing light poured from above the injured people.
The wounds of the injured closed before my very eyes—everyone recovered in no time.
“That’s why I said there’s no need.”
There was no need to prioritize the seriously injured—because I could heal them all at once.
Fufu—indeed, I am skilled like that.
“W, we’re saved! You’re indeed a saint!”
S, saint, you said!
The man I had healed first held my hands and said so.
H-huh?
Did I get found out just like that?
***T/N: Here I am expecting your old school ‘Mega Heal’ or ‘Group Heal’ but
-no one:
-literally not a single soul:
-Elaine: WIDE HEAL!!!
so i cant help but notice you consistently take everything in the worst way possible in a way that makes it feel like you didnt actually read what was there. So allow me to inform you, healing people you encounter randomly that are seriously injured isnt narcissistic, it would be narcissistic if she talked about “how great she is” if she thought “im the best” or “im the prettiest” in an obsessive way that has NOT shown up at all so far when we get keyed in on her thoughts. do you have a meaningful connection to the people in another department you’ve never been to at your work, -no, thats not quite the right analogy, do you have a meaningful connection with EVERYONE at your work, including every department, every last employee, including all the side business’s, and any related partner companies. The answer is obviously no, but even more than that, do you have a connection deep enough to legitimately put your own actual life on the line for those people, no you cant truthfully say you do, for even half of them. you are demanding the same of the mc, and claiming that because she doesnt do that, and has her own life that she has a right to live, that she is a narcissist, a sociopath, an uncaring murderer. but above all you consistently showcase you havent paid attention to the stuff that was written so far. She DID show consideration, she has put up with this treatment from the kingdom this far since she was just a little girl who just lost her mother, she stated logical arguements to the prince on why he shouldnt do this, but i’d like to remind you that prince wanted to execute her originally, so thats technically still on the chopping block if he feels like it. You cant blame someone for walking away from this sort of situation, because honestly there remained nothing she could do. “oh but the king” yeh i’ll see you in a couple chapters when we actually have confirmation on the kings opinions on that matter.
I think the reason why she didnt have any feeling of connection to the people of that “former” kingdom she lived in because first, as she said she was only doing it because of ‘tradition’ and second she didnt have that feeling of duty because its been going on for like generations people sort of forget and just takes the things they have for granted. And third her family sort of disappeared in her life since she was known to be a saint.
…so in this chapter she randomly mass heals people and shows how that she is narcissistic… but it shows us that she is completely out of touch with reality. Lets heal people she randomly encountered while ignoring that innocent people that she had protecting most of her life and she should have SOME sort of tie to… will now suffer and die.
This is not a complain about her actions, but rather her mindset… that is her complete and utter lack of even considering what is going to happen. All we got is that she does not care what happens to the “country” as in the Prince… and the Knights defending it I guess? But not even once does she even think about what will happen to commoners.
More like This Heal
So what was the point of the first heal she had to touch him for?
Maybe advanced spell requires no touching
With this author? It is probably because he is a bad writer?
Just use the usual ‘Area Heal’ women
Thanks for the chapter. Her heal ability is quite OP huh.
Next magical fantasy novel will have to innovate even more and use something like “FAT HEAL” or something…
BODACIOUS HEAL
Phat heal
The Prince probably considered her a fake because she wouldn’t cater to his ego
😀 she is so cool, good one 🙂 one really wonder how could prince think she is fake, well lets not mind the fact that the prince was/is idiot…. Thank you for the chapter, looking forward to more 🙂 🙂 🙂
I’d like to see if the other “saint” can do that…
I thought she is going to use area heal or santuary hahahaha
Your links to previous and next don’t work.
Thank you for the chapters. It’s an interesting novel so far
Links will be provided later because it isnt done by me, but my editor, and it will be done later when he has the time. I am sorry for the inconvenience but thats just how it is here.
Thanks for the chapter! I wonder if she’s gonna learn a new skill going forward to not be thought of as The Saint?
She gets found out pretty early so no need for new skills. LOL~
