While roughly combing his hair with his fingers, Phil took out something from the small box he had brought with him.

Phil was right in front of me.

That day’s Phil didn’t smell at all. Be it of earth, sweat, dust, or even the smell of blood post-hunting, none of that could be smelled from him.

He had a soft and sweet scent, just like the gentle scent of a flower being carried by a breeze.

By that time, I had already become accustomed to the temperature of the metal. As far as I could see, the chain was made of gold. I wasn’t sure because I couldn’t see it, but it was heavy. It must be a pretty luxurious necklace.

“Tiana told me that your neck looked lonely. I was also told that something a little more familiar would be better than a new one, so I brought the one that my mother used to wear when she was young. I’ve also brought the earrings. Try them on.”

“But, aren’t they expensive…”

He then offered me the earrings.

I was a little lost. However, if it was necessary for the battle, I had to be enthusiastic. When I put on the earrings, Tiana immediately prepared her hand mirror.

The necklace wasn’t as flashy as I thought.

The large pearls and blue jewels were large and firmly etched, but it was surprisingly refreshing. Probably because they didn’t use many glittering jewels. The two teardrop earrings also made my black hair, which tended to look heavy, appear glossy.

Their design resembled the necklace I was trying to prepare for my wedding. It was because I liked that kind of design, and also because I didn’t want anything too expensive.

However, the necklace and earrings didn’t look cheap because the gems were of high quality. Regardless, it wasn’t too flashy.

It was even more beautiful than the ideal ornament I had secretly envisioned.

“If you like it, I’ll give it to you?”

Phil casually said that, as if he was giving away an apple.

I shook my head in a hurry and stared at Phil.

“You can’t just hand away such an expensive item!”

Phil withdrew with a grin.

Tiana stared at him in fright.

After a while, I looked outside the window. Alves was still following us.

The moment he saw my new accessories, his eyes went wide. Then, he just stared at Phil without saying anything. After lightly waving towards us, he left.

The young knight who was leading a horse by its reins also followed after him.

They’d be heading for the government office.
