From there on, it was quick.

On the same day, Dylan requested Lawrence the necessary documents for boarding the ship, and Lawrence asked someone else to prepare them for him just as quick.

The documents arrived the next day, during the evening.

Then, a day later, Avril, Dylan, Chris, and Grace were standing in the line of passengers waiting to be screened at the port.

“I was surprised at how fast the preparations went. The power of His Highness the Crown Prince and his connections are superb…!”

“Apparently, due to a storm that has been brewing these past several days, the ship has been anchored longer than expected. With the weather improving, Prince Lawrence and the others must have realized that the ship would depart if they didn’t hurry.”

Avril nodded in response to Dylan’s answer and tried to maintain a serious atmosphere, but it proved to be quite a challenge.

I’m so looking forward to boarding this ship. It’s my honeymoon…!

As usual, Dylan, who was both a duke and a lord, was extremely busy. Once they returned to the townhouse in the royal capital, they should be able to find time to hold their wedding ceremony, but the honeymoon was another story.

Coming to the Duchy of Lancester was fun as it felt like a trip. From there, she never thought she’d be boarding a real trip.

This is part of my duties, but the world is so vast, there are many things about it I never even knew about. It’s really exciting.

Normally, no one would have been surprised if Avril’s legs were shaking, but her strong mental fortitude which didn’t get shaken by anything came in handy in that situation.

As she looked around with excitment, Dylan asked in a whisper.

“Avril, you know the setting, right?”

“Yes. We are a pair of newlyweds who hail from a viscount family. We came to the Town of Myrtle to hold our wedding. After having a grand wedding with the blue sky and sea as the background, we intend to board this ship to return to the vicinity of the royal capital. For this one night, we’ll be playing the role of an innocent couple on their honeymoon!”

“…Do we really have to act that out?”

Along with Dylan’s exasperated voice, Avril could hear Chris laughing in the background. This time, she was sure of it.

Come to think of it, this is indeed our first time as a couple. We haven’t had an official ceremony yet, but there may be no need to act.

As she was thinking about that, it seemed that the boarding procedures had been completed. The staff member smiled elegantly and called her by the same name as written on her passport.

“Viscount and Viscountess Brough, welcome to the Victoria.”

“Thank you. Can you please help with our belongings?”’

“As you request.”

Watching the exchange, Avril set aside her excitement and fixed her posture.

This is my first time seeing the sea, and also my first ever voyage. I’m so excited, but I have to be firm from here…!

Then, as she firmly grasped Dylan’s arm, who was escorting her, he looked down at her and smiled. As always, it was a reassuring smile.

“…Lord Dylan, you appear to be enjoying yourself pretending to be a married couple.”

When Avril heard that, she was fully convinced that Dylan was really looking forward to the luxury cruise ship.
