Cinderella’s Older Sister Reluctantly Marries the Prince [14]

Chapter Fourteen: The Princess Asks the Alpaca for Healing

While brushing MofuMofu’s hair, I sighed inwardly. The alpaca huffed a singing voice.

“I am sorry,” I replied. “I just want to be healed by you, MofuMofu.”

“You look tired, my lady,” Sir Danforth called out to me.

“Sir Danforth, I just don’t know if I can do it well.”

Weighing heavily on my heart was the welcome party of the delegates from the South that was to come in a  few days.

“As far as I can see, Her Royal Highness has no problem with socializing.”

“I am really bad at socializing. If the nations were to know the kind of person The Prince’s princess was like, it would bring shame to the nation.”

It is okay if I was the only one being ridiculed but couldn’t stomach that The Prince or the country be ridiculed because of me. I always wondered if there was anyone who could do The Princess’ role instead of me. I hugged MofuMofu distractingly, and the alpaca uttered a sweet “Hoon.” The feeling of his fleece was irresistible.

“You don’t have to worry so much. You are a wonderful lady that The Prince has chosen himself. You would not do anything that would destroy his reputation and the nation. Moreover, His Royal Highness is a kind man, so I am sure he will support Lady Adelina well.”

Sir Danforth kindly encouraged me to have some confidence in myself and Prince Francis. He and other aides who were close to me and The Prince talked about our experiences.

“Stop practicing today and refresh yourself all day long. You can do what you generally like to do. You can take care of the animals, work in the fields, or cook something in the kitchen.” Sir Danforth said with a smile.

Not only did he have a good appearance, position, and ability, he also had a good personality.

“I will do it all. I will take care of the animals first, and then go see the fields and cook and eat the harvested vegetables.”

As I thought about it, I felt my mood took a one-eighty degree turn. All my worries were gone instantly.

Sir Danforth smiled when he saw me motivated to resume brushing the alpaca.

“Princess, it is no news that you are certainly a little quirky compared to many of the ladies in the court, but you don’t forget your true self and bring out a fake persona in front of others. That, my Princess, is the most attractive thing about you. Never forget this. Your smile is more beautiful than any gorgeous jewel. Please don’t forget that, either.”

Sir Danforth winked while saying that. I didn’t know whether I should be shy about being complimented or be amazed at Sir Danforth’s words. However, thank you very much, Sir Danforth.
