Walking past the unconscious Leonardo, footsteps were approaching.

“The winner is Riol Glen. The loser is Leonardo Randall Ulysia Elgacia. With this, he shall vow to give up his right to the throne and his title as the Crown Prince!”

The Scales of Judgement. An ancient magical instrument. If the loser didn’t follow the conditions set by the winner, then he shall die.

The iconic black fog descended on Leonardo as soon as Riol’s conditions were heard. The people gathered around Leonardo backed away.

“…after all, if I didn’t do this, then both my neck and Sharina’s would be in danger once he ascended the throne. I had no choice.”

The fog’s entirety seeped into Leonardo. Riol then turned to Edward.

“Wha, what have you…”

Edward couldn’t comprehend what was happening to the point his mouth went wide agape.

To put it simply, the overwhelming pillar of authority, which until now was thought to be second to none, had collapsed in an instant.

“D, don’t play around! Insolent fools! By doing this, do you think the Royal Family and the nobles will stay silent—!?”

“Now, I wonder about that.”

Riol responded coolly to the outraged Edward.
