Don’t Dote on Me! ~10 Days of an Onomatopoeic Noble Lady Translation

23: A Secret Conversation Between Women!

—Afterwards, for some reason, no matter where we went…

“Hey, there they are.”

Without fail, Prince Grimwald would always spot the two and reported them to me.

Something’s fishy…

Regardless, I was finally able to catch my breath at a café/restaurant in the early afternoon.

“Is it about time?”

After Prince Grimwald had muttered such—

“—Hey, Silver!!”

A cute boy’s voice echoed in the bustling store.

Of course, Silver and everyone else heard it loud and clear.

The two approached us and bowed.

“Lady Lumiere, and Your Highness Grimwald. I’m sorry for the late greetings—”

“—It’s fine. Are you enjoying your precious time off?”

“Yes, thanks to you.”

Even though Prince Grimwald was the one who called out to them, my aloofness must’ve come off as strange. While being stared by the two, I decided to rely on onomatopoeia.

Kyururun.

“Haha, I’m glad to see that Milady is enjoying herself.”

What part of this looks like I’m having fun!?

When I involuntarily glared at Silver, Irene, who stood beside him, stroked her chin.

“Can I go pick some flowers?”

Then, she stared at me, before grinning.

“Lumie, you’ll accompany me, won’t you?”

She helped me stand. In reality, she was clinging tightly to my arm!

“Well, then, I’ll borrow her for a moment.”

What is she planning!?

Afterward, I was taken to the women’s bathroom.

The waitress was surprised to see me, perhaps because I barged in with another noble lady instead of a servant.

“Don’t mind us~” But Irene simply walked past her and locked the door.

Even though it was a shop’s bathroom, it was designed with the aristocrats in mind. As such, instead of a bathroom, it felt like a somewhat luxurious room. The area around the toilet seat was also separated by exquisite partitions.

Irene crossed her arms and confronted me while I was still feeling awkward.

“So, who’re you targeting?”

“…Koten?”

Clueless to her true intentions, I tilted my head, only for Irene to click her tongue.

“Can you stop acting like a stupid burikko? You can speak normally, right?”

I see, I got found out.

After all, I could hold normal conversation in the classroom. My [curse] would only activate when I was with Prince Redmond and the others.

Therefore, I sighed and crossed my arms.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Well, well, isn’t someone dedicated to her role? Like I said, whose route are you aiming for? As the villainess, you’re trying to prevent your downfall, right? As a fellow reincarnator, I don’t wish for you to suffer, so why don’t we work together so we can both be happy?”

Seriously, what is she saying?

‘Route’? ‘Villainess’? ‘Reincarnator’?

I didn’t understand at all—

—Although, something sounded familiar.

Reincarnator…?

Silver used to refer to himself as such.

“I-I see, so you’re a reincarnator, too… Does that mean you have the same origin as Silver?”

“H-huh…? What’s with that reaction? N-no way, you’re a mob!?”

Here we go again…

—I wonder if they really came from another world or something.

As I clutched my forehead, Irene went agape and pointed her finger at me.

“What is happening!? Why is a mob aiming for the Reverse Harem Route!?”

Reverse Harem…”

Come to think of it, that list of incomprehensible words suddenly sounded familiar. After all, Silver would often tell me similar stories… Which I always ignored. Strangely enough, the pink-haired girl’s explanation reminded me of them—

“No way!? Did my brother seriously fall for a mob villainess!? This is so annoying!”

After blurting those words, Irene tried to leave, but not before saying. “You’re seriously bizarre!”

“Eh, wait—hold on… Don’t leave me hanging like this—!?”

I tried to reach after her, to no avail.

Is she Silver’s little sister?

I rushed after Irene, and in no time at all, I returned to the store. As I chased after her, I realized something else…

First of all, there was no one else present, not even the staff.

—Thus, in the privately rented shop;

“A man never goes back on his words, remember?”

“Of course. The one who loses will never approach Lumiere again, do you understand?”

For some reason, Silver and Prince Grimwald were glaring at each other. As the corners of their mouths rose, I noticed a multitude of small glasses on their table…
