I’ve decided, why don’t I just step down from my position as a royal guard and become her exclusive knight? Of course, we won’t be staying in the royal palace. Instead, I’ll prepare a mansion somewhere in the frontier, so the two of us can—”

—Then, the Green Guy, Grimwald, interjected.

“No, no, we can’t let my brother, the future king, be at risk? Please entrust this to me. In any case, I’ll eventually be given charge of the Northern territory as a duke. When I involuntarily averted my gaze, I saw Silver—my only hope—holding his stomach. He didn’t seem able to contain his laughter. Despite his uncouthness, Prince Redmond was too busy arguing about the solution to my predicament(?) to care.

After secretly stepping on Silver’s foot, I shut my eyes as tightly as I could in hopes to quell the situation and;

The four of them looked up at me in unison.

I had forced my eyes to fake some tears.

At such clumsy acting, I thought that this time, I’d be reprimanded and even have my engagement annulled…

…But Red Guy—Prince Redmond, hugged me!

“I, I’m sorry, I’ve made you cry, Lumiere… Please, please don’t hate me for fighting over you…”

Next, Blue Bruno came to take my left hand.

“No, I’m the one who should be apologizing. I was thinking of secretly getting rid of Red in order to win you over, but… I shouldn’t have terrified you. Next time, I’ll properly make sure that you aren’t present. Instead, I’ll kill him somewhere secluded.”

…Afterwards, Yellow Hielo grabbed my right hand.

“No, no, it’s my fault. For making Lady Lumiere cry, I’ve dishonored myself as a knight! Won’t you wait for me? I’ll drop out from this academy to undertake all sorts of training! I swear upon this sword that never again shall you cry.”

Furthermore, Green Grimwald kissed the top of my head!

“I’m willing to put the prestige of my kingdom on the line to break the curse that’s been placed on you. Therefore, Lumiere, please… Just love me without thinking of anything else.”

Behind them, Silver was boisterously laughing and clapping his hands.

…Yeah, that’s it.

They’re all equally disgusting.

I cried ‘uruuru’ in earnest.
