Lady Villainess Philia D’la Love’s Mistakes Translation

44.1 The Battle for the Wedding Dress

My lady’s maid, Angela emphasize,
“It must definitely be silk satin.”

Luka replied coldly,
“…… Taffeta”

Angela raised her eyebrows.
“Mermaid line then.”

Luka shook his hand in irritation.
“Imperial line. High necked”

Unable to accept it, Angela stomped her feet.
“Heart line neck! I will not give up on this”

“Pagoda lines are a must. Of course, with gloves hiding her hands all the way till her fingertips.”
“Impossible! What are you thinking Luka-sama!”

Angela was trembling from anger, as if she were going to scream at any moment.  Facing her on the opposite side was Luka. His expressionless face was cold, not flinching a bit.  Presently, the situation between my fiancé and my lady’s maid had become explosive. The cause of this dissension was the pure white dresses lined up in the room.

In short, my wedding dress.
Wedding dresses in this world were also white, and in truth, an ample variety was present.

Apparently, the creation of a wedding dress commences at the same time an engagement is decided. It is completed to the point where all that remains is to make some adjustments before the marriage ceremony…… What’s more, the number of products was no less than a dozen at the least.

And the sole reason why my room has transformed into the wedding specialty store was all thanks to the grace of my father.

To begin with, it’s impossible for my father, who has already finished the design of my dress, to hold back in the slightest for a major lifelong event like my wedding. I heard he had not only called the Duke family’s exclusive tailor, but he even got famous shops in the royal capital involved in the creation of wedding dresses.

That’s what I call a waste of authority.

While I did acknowledge that some extravagance was an aristocrat’s obligation, but even so, that was just too much. As someone who was once an ordinary person, it greatly made my heart ache.

I decided to donate the unused dresses to a place that would use them responsibly and effectively.

At any rate, that mass production of dresses was what gave rise to that pointless argument.

On one side, Angela wanted to dress me up. Luka, however, who didn’t like my being exposed to the public eye much, wanted me to hide everything.

My lady’s maid, who was burning with the fire of responsibility, and my deeply jealous fiancé collided head on, neither showed any sign of yielding.

And I, as the concerned party, for some reason was completely ignored.

I didn’t even have the slightest bit of leeway to make a fair argument like, “I will be the one who will wear it, so shouldn’t I……”

This was a normal event often seen when it came to deciding on my dresses for ordinary evening parties, but as this one was about my once in a lifetime wedding dress, they were both hyped up even more.

“It doesn’t matter if you want to make skirt with taffeta, but the chest and the waist areas definitely need to be silk. I must bring out the beauty of the young lady’s curvaceousness!”

“I don’t want her curves to be seen. Besides, isn’t it natural to hide your skin as much as possible in front of god?”

I almost nodded subconsciously thinking, “that’s right,” when Luka solemnly said that with his otherworldly beauty

But Angela just snorted in disdain.

“Look at what this atheist is saying. You merely don’t want to expose the young lady’s skin to others. Your pulling in god in argument when it’s convenient is ridiculous.”

Angela, you’re too merciless to someone so intimate with the master you serve.

“The bride is the leading actress of a wedding. Only a dress with a heart shaped neckline can beautifully shows off young lady’s chest which is her biggest charm.”
“I absolutely will not allow it. That appearance is too dangerous.”
“What do you mean by danger一…… Ahh, there’s is indeed a beast who will swoop down to attack her.”
“Foolish, there isn’t just one beast eyeing my elder sister…… There’s no end to them, no matter how many are exterminated.”
“Please tell me you’re joking Luka-sama. You don’t even have any self-awareness, do you?”

The argument had already drifted from its original cause. The selecting of my wedding dress had devolved into children squabbling.

Perhaps Angela also thought squabbling with Luka, someone seven years younger than her, was childish, as she coughed lightly.

“We will never come to an agreement if we just continue to argue like this.”

Thank Godhe finally realized it.

That’s right, you finally noticed that you need to ask the desires of the concerned party herself, the person who will wear the dress.

I was so delighted that it was finally time for my entry. I stood up from my chair, yet Angela spoke loudly without even looking at me.

“We should let the master decide!”

……

……….In the end, no one seemed care about my intentions.

As a result, my father chose a slender-line dress which beautifully revealed my shoulders and neckline.

Disregarding father’s personality, I had faith in his fashion sense at least. Even from my perspective, it was an age-appropriate beautiful dress that looked neat and tidy.

As for Luka persistently saying he wanted me to wear a high neck or imperial line dress, I vehemently objected after hearing Angela say, “If a young lady with a particularly large chest wears such dresses, she will only look like a pregnant woman.”

Being seen as pregnant when you aren’t is just too miserable.

That night after the tiresome wedding dress fair was finally over, looking at all the wedding dresses, I began to realize that I was really going to get married soon.

Not even one week remained until the ceremony. Although I could say nothing would change after the wedding, neither with my home nor my surname, I felt deeply moved when I thought I was going to be Luka’s wife.

As I got ready for the bed, I looked up at the tiny moon through the window, feeling unusually sentimental.

“Elder sister?”
Luka hugged me from behind tightly and strangely called out to me.

I vaguely picked up on a scent similar to soap. Facing the familiar smell and pleasant warmth feeling against me, I subconsciously leaned back…… Then, I suddenly returned to myself.

“Luka, didn’t we promise to sleep separately from today?”

After the turmoil during the day, we thought despite it already being too late, living like a married couple already when we were soon going to make our vows in front of the god wouldn’t be right.

To say it clearly, my life was quite flamboyant. Luka always tried to act intimate with me, and numerous times, I was swept in the flow and was unable to reject Luka when he pleaded with moist eyes.

So, we came to the decision that at least until the wedding, we should practice moderation like engaged couples and rest separately.

Originally, it was Luka who suggested we act in moderation in the presence of god. Even our father said we should, so Luka in the end had no choice but to obey.

When I tried to ask if he was going to violate the order from the first day, I heard his sulking voice from above my head.

“I know. I will go back to my room”

One of Luka’s hands slowly caressed my stomach as he spoke. His other was undoing the ribbon at the front of my nightgown.

“……… Luka?”
