Silence surrounded the dining room.

Everyone’s eyes were directed towards Ibris and I.

Surprised, I couldn’t reply.

Ibris tilted his head as he continued. “Huh? Didn’t you hear me? I requested you to go on a date with me.”

“D, date… as in, date?”

“I don’t know what else there is, but that word should mean that I want to know you better, right?”

“U, uh, let’s see…”

“If there’s no objection, let’s go.”

What should I do?

When I was in trouble, Grave shouted out from beside me.

“W, wait! That’s not good!”

“Don’t worry, Grave. You can come with us.”

“Huh?”

“Eh?”

Towards Ibris’ remarks, Grave and I had the same questioning look.

Even though he said it was a date, he invited another man.

At first, I didn’t understand what he was talking about. However, as I wondered, I began to realize what Ibris was thinking…

“C, could it be, you want the three of us to hangout?”

“That’s right! Please show me around this city!”

“…How misleading.”

Grave exhaled greatly.

Weakened, his shoulders slumped down.

“Hmm? What is?”

“Don’t call that a ‘date.’”

“What’s wrong? I thought when men and women hangout together, it’s called a date.”

“Not wrong…”

Ibris was missing the essential part.

The interest of everyone whom was listening to the story diminished. They returned to their meals as they prepared for work.

Anna seemed to be listening too. She sneaked up and asked me in a barely inaudible voice.

“Hey, Liliana, are you going on a date?”

“Eh? Oh, I don’t think that’s the case. We’re just hanging out together.”

“I see…”

Anna, who seemed slightly jealous, looked relieved.

“Why don’t you come with us?”

“I have something to do… also,”

“Also?”

“I wasn’t invited…”

It was apparent that Anna was dejected.

Compared to the usual Anna, her current smile seemed forced.

“Anna, why don’t you just come with us?”

As if he had heard her feelings, Ibris called out to Anna.

“A, are you talking to me?”

“Who else is there? You’re in front of me.”

Ibris didn’t have any ulterior motives.

Even so, it seemed that he had heard our exchange.

As Grave and I stared at each other, we laughed a little.

“T, thank you, but, forgive me, I’m at work…”

“Is that so? It can’t be helped.”

“Still, thanks for inviting me…”

“Don’t make that face. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future. See you next time.”

“Alright!”

Anna replied cheerfully, cleaned up the dishes, and made her way to the kitchen.

After talking to Anna, Ibris turned around, put his hand on his waist, and declared once again.

“Let’s go!”

“Is this alright with you, Liliana?”

“Yes. Will Grave come with me?”

“Of course, I don’t want you to be alone with this guy.”

Grave’s true intentions were spilled from his mouth.

His profile looked a little sharp.

The appearance of the three people walking in the city was impressive and attracted the attention of people passing by.

“Grave and Liliana.”

“There’s a lot of people. Who’s that? He looks like Grave.”

“Did Grave have a brother?”

We were at the center of the attention.

My walking with Grave was a common occurrence. I truly believed I had gotten used to it…

“The city of humans has also changed.”

“Are you comparing it to the past?”

“Yes, a little over a thousand years ago.”

“…Of course, it’d be different.”

With the addition of Ibris, I felt that the attention had doubled.

Even so, why were those two talking with me between them?

“That’s right! Is there a place you want to go?”

“Hmm… a place I want to go…”

Ibris muttered and pondered with his hand under his chin.

He kept groaning for about five seconds, before suddenly getting an idea.

“I can’t think of anything.”

“Is that so.”

“Rather! I don’t know anything! I will leave it to you!”

“Even if you tell me that… where should we go?”

I asked Grave with a troubled expression.

With a concerned expression, Grave alternately looked at Ibris and I.

“Let’s show him around properly for the time being. Give priority to shopping streets and lively places.”

“I see.”

“Please entertain me!”

Grave gestured to Ibris who was going at his own pace.

While Grave seemed annoyed, Ibris looked to be happy.

Then, we walked around the city as we pleased. We entered any shop that caught our eye, and weate delicious-looking food.

On the way, we stopped by Doga’s workshop.

“Well, isn’t this a fine job?”

“Can you tell? I’ve been improving myself, lately. Thanks to Liliana, I found a new source of learning!”

“It’s good to have a role model around. I’m looking forward to it!”

“Leave it to me!”

Doga didn’t know Ibris’ true identity.

Even so, they were able to connect with each other like friends in an instant.

Ibris had the natural talent to attract people.

Maybe that was the charm of the Demon King.
