2: I’m Going to Punch the Prince for Sexual Harassment
“If you want to know someone’s name, introduce yourself first!”
The military and civil officials around me roared upon hearing that.
“How uncouth! This is Prince Andrea, the crown prince of this kingdom, Fenzel!”
“So what? It doesn’t change the fact that he’s a vicious criminal who kidnapped me from my world, isn’t he?”
“—You!! How dare you call me a criminal!”
The so-called ‘Prince Andrea’ went livid almost instantly.
“I’m not calling you a criminal—you are one. Forcefully transmigrating someone into another world is extremely inhumane! Let me guess, you’re going to say, ‘Save the world!’ or whatever, like a template for a selfish royal family! To entrust the fate of the world to an ordinary woman who has nothing to do with it, isn’t that just embarrassing? This is your world, take care of your own problems! Don’t drag me into this, dammit!”
I spoke confidently, without flinching. The prince, who’d been shifting back and forth up until then, was clearly taken aback.
Maybe because everyone always bows to him, no woman has ever treated him like this before… Still, just because you’re royalty doesn’t mean you can look down on others!
I didn’t know how great the royal family of this country was, but the fact remained that I was forcefully transmigrated here, so I didn’t care.
My original world was the worst, sure, but that didn’t mean I wanted to come to this world!
After all, this world doesn’t seem to have any electrical appliances or entertainment… and above all, this prince is the worst.
It’d be one thing if I were surrounded by kind people and promised a good life, but judging from the way they looked down on me and said things like, “You’re a saint, so it’s only natural that you serve us.” There was no way I’d be happy here!
“Still… I didn’t intend to kidnap you…”
“Then, is there a way for me to return to my original world?”
“As if! We have a ritual for summoning a saint, but I’ve never heard of the opposite!”
“See? I knew it, you’re nothing but a criminal!”
“But you’re the saint! A saint would selflessly serve this kingdom without asking for anything in return!”
“Are you listening to yourself?! Not only did you summon me without my consent, you intend to force me into giving you free labor!”
“The people of this kingdom are suffering from the damage caused by the monsters! Are you going to let them die?!”
“And now you’re blaming me for something I’m not responsible for! That’s just a guilt trip! Also, you’re threatening me using your people! This world has nothing to do with me!”
I regretted the way I lived in my original world, so I refused to back down!
The prince’s initial disrespect seemed to have vanished altogether. He shuddered; his eyes tearful. He had a habit of insulting others, but he himself was weak to being told off.
Seeing the prince like that, the princess spoke up.
“You’re disrespecting my brother, the future king!”
“So what? I’m not a human of this world, let alone the citizen of this kingdom!”
“You may be from another world, but you’re still in the Kingdom of Fenzel. We can execute rude people like you for disrespect.”
“You’d be the ones in trouble if you did.”
That shut the princess up right away.
“I don’t know the details, but this kingdom has problems that they can’t solve on their own, so they summoned me. If you kill me, would you be able to summon another saint?”
It was a gamble, but the answer was probably “no.” The ritual to summon the saint sounded like a big deal, so I didn’t think they could just do it again.
“B-but, if you don’t use your power as the saint, this kingdom will be destroyed by the demons! If that happens, you won’t be safe either!”
“So what? Better than being abducted, threatened, and used like a convenient tool! A kingdom that can’t take care of its own problem should just perish.”
The prince, princess, and everyone around them were left with their mouths hanging open.
What? Did they think the saint they summoned would be like, “I’m honored at being summoned by you~! I may be from another world, but I’ll work hard for this kingdom~”
But why would I? Actually, who’d be happy at being summoned and forced to work?
“I… I get it. I can’t send you back to your world, but I won’t ask you to work for free. I’ll give you adequate reimbursement, alright?”
“Well, you obviously should! Also, can you please not act like you’re doing me a favor? Do you not get how nonsensical it is to forcefully summon someone and put them into labor?”
That said, I was willing to make concessions depending on the conditions. As long as I was guaranteed food, clothing, shelter, enough sleep, time off, and a salary, I didn’t mind working as a saint.
It’s important to check the working environment and compensation!
…Well, to begin with, I still didn’t know if I really was a saint, or if I truly had magic power or anything like that. Still, they were the ones who summoned me without permission, so they should at least guarantee me the bare minimum!
“If you use your powers as a saint, I shall make you my concubine!”
“…”
…What did he say?
The prince looked as if he had made the discovery of the century. I had a headache.
“Rejoice! You aren’t my type, but this is for the good of the kingdom. I shall treat you well, Saint.”
The stupid prince lifted my chin, attempting to steal a kiss—
—I punched him.
“Argh!”
He let out a pathetic cry as he was blown backwards.
“After abducting me, you’re going to sexually harass me!? You shitty prince!”
“W-what’s with you!? Usually, women are more than eager if I do this!”
“Well, you’re the prince of the kingdom! Of course, many women would flock to you for your status! Still, kissing someone who isn’t even your lover without permission is a crime!”
I can’t go home anyway, and even if I did, only a miserable future awaits me.
Well, whatever happens, happens. I’m not going to let them take advantage of me.
“What…?”
It seemed the oxymoronic prince really did think that I’d be happy. I was shocked and devastated.
“I see… I guess I’ve been too complacent as a prince… Everyone around me only ever applauds me for my actions…”
Huh. I thought he’d get angry, but he looks really despondent…
That was a bit unexpected. To be honest, I thought he’d threaten to execute me again.
But if he did, he’d lose the Saint, so that’d be bad.
The prince stared at me intently and said, “I’ve never met an outspoken woman like you…”
“Oh, please don’t. Don’t confess to me. I can’t stand criminals like you.”
“What…?!”
The prince seemed even more shocked, he trembled like a fawn.
Huh, did I hit the nail on the head? I was only half-joking…
“You’ve brought such humiliation upon my brother…! I’ll never forgive you!”
The princess, on the other hand, seemed to be shaking with rage.
Huh, she can still call such a man ‘brother’ and respect him?
If it were me, I’d be so disillusioned by such a series of events like this, I’d have snapped out of it.
“I should be the one holding grudges after being forcibly brought here. Anyway, this is tiresome, so I’d like to rest soon. Please prepare a clean room and clothes for me. From now on, I’ll make sure to eat three meals a day and sleep at least eight hours a day.”
The princess and the others were clearly frowning, but they couldn’t say anything back. That was how special the existence of a saint was.
Although right now, I might look more like a villainess than a saint…
Well, I didn’t care what others thought of me. In my previous world, I learned that there was no point in just putting up with it in silence and listening to what others say. I wasn’t going to hold back anymore.
“Let me remind you—if you lay a hand on me, I’ll never use my powers of a saint. You’ll be the ones to suffer, not me.”
