139: Everyone’s Hairstyles got Complimented
“—It seems that Teresa has been captured.”
Avril was dozing off when she was awoken by the whispers of the bad women guarding the room.
Not good! I must’ve fallen asleep by accident!
Under normal circumstances, Avril wouldn’t have fallen asleep. But the previous night, she had excitingly been anticipating boarding the luxury cruise ship. She even read a whole book about luxury cruise ships and made sure that she had packed properly.
Although she was the type of person who could sleep well in any situation, she stayed up late because she was looking forward to her honeymoon This was the result.
What time is it now?
Feeling the breathing of the imprisoned women, Avril looked at the clock and saw that it was almost six in the morning. That would explain why light was streaming in through the only small window.
The bad women didn’t seem to notice that Avril was awake. They went on speaking.
“What do you mean? Teresa got caught?”
“Apparently, she went to a welcome party in the Second-class Cabin and was caught by some men there. Someone witnessed the whole scene.”
“Those men weren’t Teresa’s playmates…?”
“It seems that they took Wallace, the sales representative, with them. It didn’t seem like they were playing around.”
“…I see. Things have become troublesome.”
The old woman banged the door with the gun she was using as a walking stick. Her irritation and impatience were palpable.
“We can’t let them know about the products we’re dealing with—be it women or drugs, or we’ll be dead meat. I don’t think Teresa or Wallace will talk, but… We should leave at the next port as soon as possible. Contact the president through Thomas. We’ll disembark as soon as we’ve loaded the fuel and necessary supplies.”
“Understood.”
Thus, several of the bad women went outside. The only ones left in the room were the supervising old woman, Kathy, and some of the bad women. There were four guns in total. Avril closed her eyes again and listened quietly, clarifying in her mind.
The person who took Lady Teresa away must’ve been Lord Dylan. That’s great. Now, one of Lord Dylan’s worries is gone. But why hasn’t Lord Dylan come here? Didn’t he see my note?
Avril did leave two separate notes saying, “I’m going to the Second-class Cabin area,” and “I was invited by a girl who came out of the emergency stairs. Someone seems to be feeling unwell.”
Dylan had a keen intuition, so he shouldn’t have any trouble thoroughly examining the Second-class Cabin area and find his way there, yet he hadn’t.
Maybe Lord Dylan didn’t noticed the notes after all. In that case, I’ll have to do something about this on my own…!
Avril looked around the room. She saw the women who were sitting and breathing heavily. She remembered that she had spoken to everyone last night while fixing their hair, and then felt motivated.
I won’t let any of you be taken to a foreign country. When we arrive at the port, the first thing we should do is prevent the ship from departing.
Avril nodded slightly. Lynn, who had apparently woken up without Avril realizing it, tugged at her sleeve.
“Hey, Villainess Avril… Maybe this is a good time to start the plan?”
“Yes, indeed. May I ask you to do it?”
It was a good thing that the number of guards decreased just in time! Lynn nodded to Avril, slowly stood up, and spoke to the old woman.
“Hey, Grannie. I want to go outside. I’m bored. Let me out like usual?”
“You’re so noisy. Are you awake already? Don’t make so much noise in the morning. I’m in a bad mood.”
“I want to go outside! Not that way, but this way like usual! Please?”
After saying that, Lynn pointed to the door that led to the engine room. Even though they didn’t understand each other’s language, the old woman responded to Lynn with a very annoyed look on her face.
“I hate children’s shrill voices. Throw her out that door, it’ll shut her up. No one will understand her, anyway.”
“But isn’t this kid always running off on her own? Won’t we be letting her escape by throwing her out there? There’s no saying she won’t tell anyone.”
“In that case, someone should keep an eye on her…”
After hearing Kathy’s words, the old woman looked at the bad women. Something seemed to have caught her eye. She muttered with her eyes wide open.
“What happened to these kids’ hairstyles? They’re all styled like aristocratic ladies…”
Without missing a beat, Avril raised her hand.
“I did it! How evil of me!”
“Oh… huh, I see. Good job. Saves us the trouble of polishing them up before selling them. I think everyone will be able to sell for 10-20% more…”
! Such a villain move!
Avril realized this instantly and decided to change her plan.
